Loaned Representative Program

Loaned Representative Program

The Loaned Representative Program (Loaned Reps or LRs) is essential to a successful campaign. Loaned Reps are employees from companies in Sarnia-Lambton who are “Loaned” each fall to the United Way for three or four months to support and promote the annual campaign. The sponsoring company maintains their salary and benefits. Some companies contact a chosen recent retiree, while others will provide funding to the United Way to hire a student or volunteer to be their Loaned Representative. These enthusiastic, committed people keep our administration costs very low!

The Loaned Rep is accountable for the success of the campaign in their assigned workplaces. They provide customer service to Employee Campaigns including attending meetings, building campaign strategy, and conducting canvasser training to ensure all volunteers are comfortable with assigned tasks.

The Loaned Rep makes certain all volunteers are well versed in canvassing/campaign techniques and can answer questions about the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton. The Loaned Rep also ensures that each in-house campaign has enough supplies such as pledge cards, brochures, and Donor Option Cards to run an effective and efficient campaign. They will help organize, set up, and run special events for both in-house employee campaigns, and those offered by the United Way such as our Day of Caring.

The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton is pleased to welcome Tiffany MacDougall and welcome back Bert Thakkar again this year with many thanks to Imperial and Bert personally.
