2026 Community Impact Report
Since 1958, the United Way of Sarnia- Lambton has been investing community dollars into organizations, programs and services that improve the lives of those in need in Lambton County; but it’s not enough. Needs in our community continue to increase and change, new issues develop. As society, technology and our own local community continues to evolve, circumstances emerge surrounding these economic conditions, innovations and growth.
For over 65 years, United Way Sarnia-Lambton has been investing in the programs and organizations that help our neighbours get through hard times and build better futures. Last year, 23,731 people — 17% of Lambton County’s population — were directly supported by United Way funded programs.
Our Community Impact approach focuses on three investment priorities: Poverty to Possibility, Healthy People, Strong Communities, and All That Kids Can Be. Together, these priorities address the root causes of our community’s most pressing challenges — from food insecurity and affordable housing, to mental health supports, senior care, and giving every child the opportunity to thrive.
We don’t just respond to immediate needs. We work with funded partners across Sarnia-Lambton to create lasting, meaningful change for individuals and families right here in our own community.
